I am selling a very sturdy reproduction of this famous Roman sword, which was carried by the Roman legionnaires during the conquest of Europe and Britain up to Hadrian's wall.

Our steel reproduction is in original size and its dimensions are similar to the so-called ?Pompeii Type?. It is for decoration and role play. These swords have blunt edges but a sharp point and for show purposes like battle ready you better should sand the point!

The leather scabbard is covered with three brass bands on top to accomodate the usual 4 brass rings to attach the gladius to the legionnaire's belt.

The straight blade is 52 cms./20.5" long.

Total length of sword (blade in brown leather scabbard with brass furniture) is 79 cms/31".Weight : 1.9 kgs/ 4.2 lbs.

Its hand grip is made from bone material, pommel and crossguard are made from hardwood.

This is our most inexpensive gladius.
