I am selling a reenactor's Roman helmet of the 3rd century BC in original size. This style of helmet with hinged cheek pieces was adapted from the Celtic Montefortino helmets and became the standard helmet of the Roman Republican legionnaires till about 100 A.D
The helmet fits a head with a circumference of up to 62 cms(24.5").
It was handmade from 18 gauge brass and weighs abt. 1.3 kg (3 lbs.)
