The falcata was a fierce weapon of the pre-Roman Hispania; the Romans learned to fear this weapon during their conquest of ?Hispania?.
Our reproduction for light reenactment has a wooden sheath covered with red leather and brass furniture. Its grip is made from bone, which looks like ivory. The brass pommel is shaped like a horse head and a smaller (skinning ?) knife is attached to the main sheath in an additional small sheath.
This sword is supplied with a blunt edge, otherwise it would not be allowed on stage.
