I am selling a reenactor's Roman helmet in original size. This style of helmet with hinged cheek pieces was used in Roman legions from about 100 A.D. till 400 A.D.
If you want to compare our helmet with original helmets, please see Christie's auction of Nov.6, 2002 lot No. 95 or R.Robinson, "The Armour of Imperial Rome", London 1975.

You will find that throughout the centuries helmets in the Roman armies differed in style, but reenactors today prefer the style of our helmet and we trust you will prefer it too.
The original helmet was found in the river Rhine near Worms.

The helmet fits a head size of up to 62.5 cms/ 24.6".

Front inside to rear - 21.0 cm
Inside ear to inside ear - 19.8 cm
Inner circumference - 62.5 cm

It was handmade from 18 gauge steel, trimmed in brass and weighs abt. 2 kg/4 lbs. A cotton padding is included.

A Swiss expert on Roman arms commented:
This is one of the finest Roman helmets made by Deepeeka. The brass decor shows an eagle and a temple. We date it to the 2nd half of the first century.
