I am selling a reproduction swept hilt rapier originating from the late 16th century.
These rapiers were used for almost 300 years on all battlegrounds in Europe, particularly in the 30 years' war in Central Europe.

One famous general in that war was Pappenheimer and the hilt and shell of this large rapier are named after him.

Its handforged high carbon steel blade is ridged on both sides.
Quillon, handguard and pommel are made from steel.
Its wooden grip is wrapped with twisted brass wire.

Overall length incl. sheath: 110 cm / 43.3"
Blade length: 79 cm / 31.1"
Thickness at ridge: 6 mms - at blunt edge: 2.5 mms
Max. blade width: 4.4 cm / 1.73"

Weight: 2.4 kgs. (5.2 lbs)

Please note that for use on stage the tip of this sword has to be rounded.
