I am selling a copy of this famous Viking helmet in original size. This style of helmet was used when the Normans conquered England.It is historically correct as the Norman troops shown on the Bayeux Tapestry wear this type of helmet.
It has a 10 cms. (4") long nose guard made from 16 gauge steel. This is the sturdiest combat helmet we have made so far.It is made from 13 gauge steel (2.3 mms or .09 inch thick) plus the metal bands of 16 gauge steel giving the helmet a total thickness of 4 mms.or 0.16" at the rim.The steel bands are fastened with 68 rivets.It fits even "big heads" quite well (hat size 7.3/4) (62 cms.), it has a lining inside and there is still room for some padding.It weighs abt. 2 kgs.( 4.4 lbs.).
