I am selling a copy of this conical "Norman" helmet in original size. This style of helmet was used when the Normans conquered England. It is historically correct as the Norman troops shown on the Bayeux Tapestry wear this type of helmet. It has a nose guard with a central ridge and chain mail protection hanging 50cms.(20 inches) down over face and neck and covering your shoulders as well.
We have put a dark grey finish on the helmet for more historical authenticity.
It fits even "big heads" quite well (hat size 7.3/4) (62 cms.), it has a lining inside and there is still room for some padding.
It was made from 18 gauge steel and weighs abt.4.2 kgs.( 9 lbs.)including the chain mail protection.
The wooden helmet stand which is shown on the last picture is NOT part of this offer. It can be purchased separately with item No. P14.
