I am selling an authentic copy of this early medieval Viking/Norman helmet in original size.
This style of helmet is known to be a "Spangenhelm" originating in Scandinavia in abt. 900AD.
It fits even large heads of 65 cms. circumference quite nicely (it is 31.5 cms/12 inches high, 20 cms/8 inches wide with an adjustable leather liner.
It was handmade from 14 gauge steel (abt. 1.8 mm) and weighs abt.1.7kgs./ 3.75 lbs. Its nasal (the nose protection is very sturdy (3 mms).
