I am selling an authentic copy of this early medieval Viking/Norman helmet in original size.
This style of helmet is known to be a "Spangenhelm" originating in Scandinavia in abt. 900AD.
It fits even large heads of 63 cms. circumference quite nicely.
Height: 31.5 cms / 12 inches
Inside width: 20 cms / 7.8 inches (ear to ear)
Inside length: 22 cm / 8.6 inches (front to back)
Inner circumference: 63 cm / 24.8".
Adjustable leather liner.
It was handmade from 14 gauge steel (abt. 1.8 mm) and weighs abt. 2.5 kgs./ 5.5 lbs. Its nasal (the nose protection) is very sturdy (3 mms).
