This lorgnette not only is a well made copy of an original, you can also make use of it. I am near-sighted, and through these glasses my vision is better than with one of the conventional lorgnettes.
The magnification equates that of usual glasses (about threefold).
The size when folded: 12 cm x 8,5 cm x 2 cm / 4.7 x 3.3 x 0.7", small enough for even a trouser pocket. A leather case is included.
Diameter of the object lens is 30 cm / 11.8".
The small lever has to be reversed to open it. The fine adjustment is done with the ocular.
