I am selling a reenactor's Roman helmet in original size. This style of helmet with hinged cheek pieces was used in Roman legions in the 1st century AD. You will find that throughout the centuries helmets in the Roman armies differed in style, but reenactors today prefer the style of our helmets made by Deepeeka and we trust you will prefer them too.

The original helmet of this style was found in river Po near Cremona/Northern Italy.

Archeologists believe that it was lost in October 69AD during the battle between Vespasian and Vitellius, which took place there..

Find details at google under the searchwords "Vitellius" and "Vespasian".

Our reproduction fits a head size of up to 63 cms (24.8"), with padding you can make it fit for smaller heads.

Front inside to rear - 22.0 cm
Inside ear to inside ear - 19.8 cm
Inner circumference - 63.0 cm

It was handmade from 18 gauge brass and weighs 1.5 kg (abt. 4 lbs.) ,

Overall height from cheek piece bottom to top of the helmet is 28cms (11 inch).
