They are made in the same good quality as our adult chain mail shirts from zinc plated rust protected 16 gauge butted steel links, combined in the antique pattern (4 links through the 5th), inner link dia. 3/8" (10 mms).
Gun barrel browning on top of the zinc coating double protects this shirt from rust, it will look old and still will not rust.
In choosing chainmail shirts to fit you should always go by the chest size, leave ample room to move under the shirt and buy one which is at least 7 inches larger around the chest.
The above photos show our 10 year old Philip, who has at present chest size 23" (58 cms.)and his shirt has a chest size of 31.5" (80 cms.)It hangs down 20" (50 cms.) from his shoulders and he is proud that it weighs as much as 3.9 kgs.(8.5 lbs.).
