I am selling a very sturdy reproduction of this famous Roman gladius, which was developed in Republican times. Experts date its origin to the beginning of the 1st century BC.

Our steel reproduction is in original size and its dimensions are similar to the so-called ?Delos? type found in Greece.

Similar sword parts have been found in France and Spain, were it is said to have been made first.

It is for decoration and role play. These swords have blunt edges and for show purposes they are "battle worthy".
The black leather scabbard is covered with brass furniture including the 4 suspension rings (to be fixed to a leather belt).

Hilt and grip are made up from wood.

The straight blade is 65 cms./26" long. Total length of sword (blade in scabbard with brass furniture) is 88 cms/35".
Total weight : 1.8 kg (4 lbs)
