I am selling a reproduction of an Austrian-Hungarian hussars sabre.
It commemorates the merger of Transilvania (away from Romania) with Hungary in 1848, bearing the following inscriptions:

PRO DEO ET PATRIA.
PRO PATRIA ET LIBERTATE VITAE.
PATRONA HUNGARIE VIRGO MARIA.
JOSEPHO BEM DUCI IN TRANSILVANIA KOLOZSVAR 25.XII 1848.

The sword has a slightly curved steel blade, 87 cms./34.1/2" long.

It has a steel scabbard with 2 carrying rings.

Its three bar hilted brass handguard is similar to mid European swords of the 19th century, its grip has a leather lining bound with twisted brass wire.

Total length (including scabbard) is 107 cms/42".
Weight : 2 kgs/ 4.4 lbs.

It is ideal for display and a famous sabre for re-enactors. .
