Helmet size is a medium "Kopfweite Gr.60" (hat size 60 = size 7.1/2 inch).
Please note: This helmet resembles the M 35 German helmet with its oval shell, but the design has been altered to a rounder shape of shell with the air vents stamped directly into the shell to reduce production costs and time.The M 35 air vents were separately inserted hollow steel rivets.You can easily identify M 35 and M 40 by this feature alone.
