It was handmade from 16 gauge aluminum links, combined in the early pattern (4 links through the 5th), inner link dia. 3/8" (10 mms), each link individually riveted for strength.
An aluminum coif does not rust, however, it does not look too original. If you want it darker, use a black spray paint, it will look old and still will not rust.
Its length is 17" (45 cms.)and it weighs only 1.1 kgs/2.1/2 lbs.
