We are selling a copy of a Roman shield for reenactors in original size.

This style of shield with its handmade painted design was copied from grave steles for legionnaires and trajan's column (see below) in Rome.

It is made from plywood with a linen surface, a steel hump and a rim of brass.
We supply the hump removed.

It weighs abt. 6 kgs. (13 lbs).
Overall height : 107 cms. (42 inch)
Overall width : 72 cms. (28,5 inch)
Measured along the surface the shield is 84 cm or 33" wide.
