I am selling a copy of a Roman lorica segmentata in original size.

This style of armour was used in Roman legions from about 100 A.D. till 300 A.D. Our reproduction is based on parts of armour found at Corbridge near Hadrian's wall.

It was handmade from 1 mm strong aluminium, trimmed in brass and weighs abt. 4 kgs./ 8.8 lbs. Therefore it is abt. 6.5 kg / 14.3 lbs lighter than the usual lorica made from 16 gauge steel (our item AH3851).

Both sides are identical and are 32 cm / 12.6" long. They are fixed to the shoulder parts with leather straps. The lorica is closed with six straps each front and back. The total length is about 45-50 cm / 17.7-19.7".

The smallest adjustment is for a chest size of 97 cm , but the metal plates can easily be bent outwards so that a chest size of 102 cm will be no problem.

The helmet is included in this offer - maximal hat size (inner circumference) is 64 cm / 25.2".
