I am selling a very sturdy reproduction of this famous Roman sword, which was developed for use in the cavalry of the Roman empire. Experts date its origin to the beginning of the 1st century. Later on it was also used by the infantry.

Our steel reproduction by Deepeeka is in original size and well made. The grip is made from bones and wood. The blade is equipped with twin fullers making it particularly strong, with blunt edges. It is well suitable for theatre, role play and decoration.

A carrying sheath completes this gladius that is well suitable both for cavalry and legionnaires. A similar gladius without carrying sheath is offered with item No. AH4208.

Length of blade: 63 cm / 24.8"
Total length: 81 cm / 31.9"
Total length incl. sheath: 87 cm / 34.5"
Total weight: 1.8 kg / 4 lbs.
