The original was made by WEST in London (engraved on the sun dial as on the original).The sun dial diameter is 9 cms.(3.5")
The compass was needed to adjust the sun dial into the correct North - South position wherever the ship was.With the instrument we supply a handcrafted hardwood box, 15cms x 15cms x 6 cms (6" x 6" x 2.5") large.
A brass anchor and enforcement brass pieces are meticulously inlaid into the hardwood.
Total weight of compass and box : 680 g (1.5 lbs).
